Los Angeles Fatherhood Network (LAFN)
There's Strength In Numbers!
As CII’s continues to advance the vision of our founder, the late Dr. Hershel K. Swinger, its noted that we not only interact with Project Fatherhood staff and our sub-grantee agencies, but with local community leaders within the Fatherhood movement. Thus, LAFN was birthed out of the desire to gather together the fatherhood community-at-large and create a network to support and promote the importance of fathers’ involvement in lives of their children. The primary responsibility of the LAFN is to support the efforts of its member agencies, including:
• Ongoing Technical Assistance
• Inter-Agency Collaboration
• Access To Additional Services
• Clearing House Of Funding Opportunities
• Curriculum Training
• Resource Sharing
The LAFN will also establish sub-committees to address the following issues as they pertain to work around Fatherhood:
• Clinical Team
• Advocacy/Policy Work
• Corrections
• DCFS Issues
• Legal Issues (Child Support, Child Custody)
